What is EGCG?
Epigallocatechin-3-gallate, abbreviated and better known as EGCG, is the main active ingredient in green tea and is the compound primarily responsible for green tea’s timeless health benefits. It boasts impressively potent antioxidant activity, the most of any herbal tea, and is said to have 25 times the free-radical fighting ability of vitamin E and 100 times that of vitamin C.
