MSM shown to improve knee osteoarthritis
A recent study of nutritional sulfur known as MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) showed it reduced pain and improved function in those with knee osteoarthritis when compared to placebo. Knee osteoarthritis patients over the age of 40 received three grams twice daily of MSM or a placebo for 12 weeks. MSM produced statistically significant decreases in pain and significantly improved a patient’s ability to perform daily activities when compared to placebo.
