Foods high in flavonoids may help with erectile dysfunction
Doctors believe that poor circulation is the primary cause of erectile dysfunction (ED), but wanted to know more about the effects of diet. In this study, doctors measured the diets of 25,096 men and followed up for 10 years. Over this time, 36 percent of the men reported developing ED. Those who got the most flavanones, flavones, and anthocyanins were on average 10 percent less likely to develop ED compared to men who got the least flavonoids. Overall, men who ate the most fruit were 14 percent less likely to develop ED compared to men who ate the least.
