Ginger extract and prostate cancer cells

Ginger contains antioxidant compounds with anti-inflammatory and potentially anti-cancer properties.  

In one study, prostate cancer cells in mice grew 56 percent more slowly after they ate ginger extract.In a lab culture, ginger extract increased prostate cancer cell-death. Doctors said the dose was equal to about 3.5 ounces of whole fresh ginger for a 150-pound person.
