Resveratrol improved muscle strength

Muscles lose mass and strength with age, which is the main factor in being able to live independently as an otherwise healthy older adult.

In the lab, doctors gave younger and older mice 500 mcg of resveratrol per day for 18 weeks, and had half of each age group exercise. The older exercise group taking resveratrol saw muscle performance improve, and had greater exercise endurance, coordination, and strength.
