Evening primrose oil for PMS and menopause

Evening primrose oil contains 9% GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) a special omega-6 fatty acid. Clinical research on it suggests it may have benefits in menopausal women.

This oil also contains other phytonutrients that help balance out hormones. GLA is excellent for dry skin, the immune system, and cellular function. About 20% of the population may have trouble converting omega-6 linoleic acid into GLA, so supplementation can be helpful if you fall into this category.

Taking 1-3 grams per day is recommended. Most benefits are seen by women with PMS or those transitioning through menopause.
