Rhodiola eases burnout

People have traditionally used rhodiola for stress, fatigue, and depression, but this is the first study to examine burnout.

In this trial, 118 men and women complaining of emotional and physical exhaustion, fatigue, lack of joy, loss of zest for life, and feelings of depersonalization took 400 mg of rhodiola rosea per day.

All stress symptoms began improving in the first week and continued to improve during the 12-week trial. Participants also reported increased sexual interest and function, and found the greatest changes in increased joy, and lower levels of tension and fatigue.
