Cranberry powder reduces infection
Previous studies found cranberries reduce urinary tract infections (UTI) in women, and researchers in one study tested a standardized whole cranberry powder.

Sixty women, aged 18 to 40, with recurring UTI caused by E. coli bacteria—the cause of most bladder infections in women—took no treatment, 500 mg or 1,000 mg of whole cranberry powder per day.

After 90 days, while there was no change in untreated women, E. coli infection levels were 36 percent lower and 65 percent lower in the 500 mg and 1,000 mg cranberry groups respectively.
