Vitamin B6 may lower chances of bowel cancers

Researchers reporting in the Journal of the American Medical Association reviewed 13 vitamin B6 studies and found a strong and direct link between increasing blood levels of the active form of vitamin B6 (pyridoxal 5’-phosphate, or PLP) and lower chances of colorectal, colon or rectal cancers. In a subgroup of studies that compared low and high vitamin B6 doses, higher doses lowered chances of colorectal cancer more than lower doses.
