Garlic extract lowered high blood pressure

In one study, 50 people with uncontrolled high blood pressure who were taking prescription medication added 960 mg of aged garlic extract per day or a placebo. After three months, those in the garlic group who had started the study with the highest systolic blood pressure—at least 140 mmHg—saw an average decline of 10.2 mmHg.
