Resveratrol improved blood sugar
In the lab, four groups of mice ate a regular diet with or without resveratrol, or a high-fat, high-sugar diet with or without resveratrol. Those on the high-fat, high-sugar diet with resveratrol had significantly improved glucose tolerance compared to those without resveratrol. Doctors then transferred gut microbes from the healthy-weight group on resveratrol to the obese group without resveratrol and found improvements in glucose balance in the obese group.
