Better memory and mood

Pycnogenol® improved memory, mood, and mental skills in 30 professionals who took 150 mg of Pycnogenol per day compared to 29 others who did not. Everyone was asked to get regular sleep, daily exercise, and eat a balanced diet for 12 weeks.

Mental performance increased 8.9 percent for Pycnogenol compared to 3.1 percent for the non-treatment group, and alertness, anxiety, and contentedness improved 16 percent compared to a decrease of 2.1 percent. Sustained attention and memory also increased four times as much in the Pycnogenol group, and signs of oxidative stress declined by 30.4 percent.
