Lecithin
Q. Dear Mark, I take soy lecithin, but want to avoid the slight estrogenic effects of soy. Does lecithin have any soy? —Tim
A. Don’t worry. Lecithin is mainly good fats. You’re probably concerned about phytoestrogens, which are found in the protein portion of soy. There’s virtually no protein in lecithin. But since lecithin is from soy, it has to be disclosed due to allergen labeling laws. —Mark
