There are two categories of supplements that athletes have only recently begun to incorporate into their sports nutrition regimens: growth hormone stimulators and anti-inflammatory enzymes.

Growth Hormone

Anti-Inflammatory Enzymes

Enzymes to fight exercise-induced inflammation have become a hot item for bodybuilders and endurance athletes alike. Some good studies have shown different enzymes can help you recover quicker, with less soreness. Most people use anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen for aches and pains, but these drugs may actually promote joint and cartilage damage over the long term. Bleeding ulcers are another unpleasant side effect.
