Pantothenic acid is sometimes known as the “anti-stress” vitamin. A member of the B vitamins, pantothenic acid (B5) is the nutrient responsible for activating the adrenal glands, which help the body to combat stress. It also plays an essential role in supporting metabolism, the adrenal glands and in the proper utilization of PABA and choline. It is a coenzyme that plays a role in the release of energy from food.
