Flaxseed Oil
Put your omegas back into balance
Flaxseed oil contains linoleic acid, an essential omega-3 fatty acid the body cannot manufacture. But unlike most oils, it also contains significant amounts of another essential fatty acid, alpha linolenic acid (ALA), which may provide significant health benefits.
Relatively low in omega-6 fatty acids, flaxseed oil may be used to lower the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 oils in the diet. Having a good balance of omega-3 and omega-6 affects joint health, cardiovascular health, allergies, immunity, hormone balance, intelligence (IQ), behavior, athletic performance, the nervous system and over a thousand other biological actions.*
Sometimes called linseed oil, flaxseed oil is a plant source and may be used as an alternative to fish oil. Also try high lignan flaxseed oil -- a great way to get valuable organic plant lignans (phytonutrients) in your daily diet.
