Açaí (ah-sigh-EE) is an amazing superfruit that grows wild only in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. Like blueberries, it has a high level of anthocyanins, pigments that give açaí its deep purple color. These, along with other polyphenols, are thought to provide valuable health benefits.
Lindberg Organic Açaí is flash frozen right after harvesting and then freeze-dried to preserve the widest spectrum of valuable nutrients. Tests show açaí is able to quench free radicals such as superoxide and peroxyl radical (in vitro).*
