Find out just how much flavor you can add by topping a traditional burger with a scrambled or sunnyside-up egg.
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 4 kaiser rolls, split
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 4 slices tomato
- Ketchup (optional)
- Mustard (optional)
- Shape ground beef into four, 1/2-inch thick patties. Heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Place patties in skillet; cook, uncovered, 10–12 minutes to medium (160°F) doneness, turning occasionally. Season with salt and pepper. Remove and keep warm.
- In same skillet, cook eggs as desired.
- Place lettuce on bottom half of each bun. Top with tomato, patty, and egg; close sandwiches. Serve with condiments, if desired.
