Elderberry

Elderberry (Sambucus nigra L.) syrup and liquid extract is useful for cough and upper-respiratory support. Black elderberries are antioxidant-rich, and have been used to ease cold symptoms, constipation, asthma, and a variety of other ailments since the time of the ancient Greeks. In fact, the elder tree was referred to by Hippocrates as his "medicine chest."
