These balanced essential fatty acid blends are typically from fish oil, flaxseed oil and borage or evening primrose oil. Fish oil provides two types of omega-3 called EPA and DHA. Flaxseed oil provides another form of omega-3 called ALA (alpha linolenic acid). Borage oil or evening primrose oil provide a special beneficial form of omega-6 called GLA (gamma linolenic acid).
