Shark Cartilage is connective tissue derived from the backbone of sharks. It's composed of highly concentrated and standardized levels of mucopolysaccharides, a family of carbohydrates that includes chondroitin sulfate, a natural constituent of cartilage. Shark cartilage also contains calcium, phosphorus, protein and collagen.
