In a lab, doctors introduced grape seed extract to both healthy and cancerous human head and neck cells and found grape seed extract killed the carcinoma cells but left the healthy cells unharmed.
Doctors believe grape seed extract damages the DNA of cancer cells and blocks the pathways that allow cancer-cell repair. βItβs a rather dramatic effect,β said Dr. Rajesh Agarwal, of the Colorado Cancer Center.
