Thanks to the inspiration from my dear friend, Sgt. Robert Lepore, I recently entered my first figure contest and won first place in my division.
I have tried many different protein powders over the past few years and have found Designer Whey by Next Proteins to be my favorite. During training for 20 weeks prior to the contest, I need a low calorie, low carb, high protein powder, and relied on Designer Whey.
The other supplement I couldn’t have done without was L-Glutamine Powder by Fitness Labs. I took this after every workout and even mixed it with water and sipped it during workouts. I also took a scoop immediately before bed. It helped tremendously with my muscle recovery.
